How Simulated Evaluations Work

A plain-language explanation of what a simulated evaluation is, what a challenge fee covers, and how progression works.

FundedSmart evaluations use simulated accounts. This lesson is educational only and is not financial advice.

Why the evaluation is simulated

FundedSmart uses a simulated environment so traders can demonstrate process quality under published rules without the product being framed as a live brokerage account. This keeps the relationship clearer and easier to understand before purchase.

What the challenge fee covers

The challenge fee is a service fee for access to the evaluation framework, platform access, and the operating structure around that challenge. It is not a deposit and it is not capital placed into a personal investment account.

How progression works

A trader chooses a plan, trades Phase 1 or the equivalent entry path, satisfies the profit target, avoids loss-limit breaches, and then moves to the next stage. The funded stage remains a simulated account with its own policy conditions.

What traders should focus on

The most useful question is not How quickly can I pass? It is Can I trade this rule set without forcing decisions? Traders who answer that honestly usually prepare better and fail less often.
