Frequently asked questions

Clear answers about Instant, One Step, and Two Step simulated trading evaluations, including plan rules, fees, progression, and rewards.

FundedSmart provides simulated trading evaluations — not live brokerage services. Nothing here is financial advice. See Risk Disclosure.

FundedSmart is an India-first simulated trading evaluation platform operated by Upward Trading FZCO. Traders prove discipline on simulated Indian Markets index F&O under published rules. It is not a broker, investment advisor, or capital deposit product. Challenge fees are service fees for evaluation access. Qualifying funded-stage traders may become eligible for discretionary rewards under the Rewards Policy — rewards are not guaranteed.

No. Evaluation and funded-stage balances are virtual. You are not depositing trading capital with FundedSmart or trading a live brokerage account through this service. FundedSmart is not a broker and does not provide investment advice. All Instant, One Step, and Two Step paths remain simulated environments, including after you reach the funded stage. See the Risk Disclosure before you buy.

FundedSmart is operated by Upward Trading FZCO. Company information on the About page lists the United Arab Emirates as jurisdiction. Legal details governing the service appear in the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Risk Disclosure, and Rewards Policy. Support cannot override published trading rules or guarantee rewards. Contact support@fundedsmart.com for account questions after you review FAQ and Rules.

First read the Trading Rules for your plan. Next choose Instant, One Step, or Two Step and a simulated Indian Markets account size on Pricing. Complete the published payment process for the service fee, then register at app.fundedsmart.com. Instant starts at the funded stage; One Step starts with one evaluation; Two Step starts at Phase 1. Nothing here is financial advice.

FundedSmart is a real product operated by Upward Trading FZCO: a simulated trading evaluation platform with published Rules, Pricing, and legal policies. It is not a licensed broker, not an investment advisor, and not a capital deposit product. Challenge fees are service fees. Rewards are discretionary and not guaranteed. Read About and Risk Disclosure before you enroll — legitimacy here means clear simulation and fee framing, not guaranteed payouts or brokerage status.

Beginners usually benefit from reading Trading Rules first, then matching risk tolerance to plan limits. Two Step (8% then 5% targets; 10%/5% loss limits) is often the steadier multi-phase path. One Step is a single 10% evaluation with 8%/4% limits. Instant starts on funded-stage rules with tighter risk (5%/3%) and no evaluation profit target. FundedSmart is a simulated evaluation platform for Indian Markets — not financial advice and not a claim that any path is “best” for every trader.

FundedSmart does not hold your savings as trading deposits. You pay a service fee for access to a simulated evaluation account sized for Indian Markets — not live brokerage capital and not a loan. Passing evaluations may lead to a funded-stage simulated account where qualifying traders can request discretionary rewards under the Rewards Policy. Rewards are not guaranteed. This is not free capital or a way to borrow money. See Pricing and Risk Disclosure.

Challenges and phases

FundedSmart offers three Indian Markets (INR) paths: Instant (purchase → funded-stage simulated account), One Step (purchase → one evaluation → funded stage), and Two Step (purchase → Phase 1 → Phase 2 → funded stage). The funded stage remains simulated on every plan. Loss limits and profit targets differ by plan — compare full paths on Challenges and Rules before you enroll.

Two Step Phase 1 targets 8% of starting balance; Phase 2 targets 5% of Phase 2 starting balance. One Step evaluation targets 10% of starting balance. Instant has no profit target because you start on funded-stage rules from day one. The funded stage on all plans has no fixed profit target. Full criteria, including minimum trading days, are published on Trading Rules.

PlanTarget
Two Step — Phase 18% of starting balance
Two Step — Phase 25% of Phase 2 starting balance
One Step — Evaluation10% of starting balance
InstantNo profit target (funded stage from day one)
Funded stage (all plans)No fixed target

There is no hard deadline to pass One Step or Two Step evaluation phases. Progress at your pace while respecting drawdown, daily loss, and prohibited-activity rules. Separately, every plan — including Instant — expires after 30 consecutive days without opening a trade. Plan your activity so inactivity does not expire an otherwise healthy account. See Rules for breach outcomes.

A trading day is a UTC server day (midnight to midnight UTC) in which you open at least one trade. Closing-only activity does not count. One Step requires 4 trading days; Two Step requires 4 trading days per phase. Instant requires 4 profitable trading days. A profitable day means end-of-day equity is above that day's starting equity, including open profit or loss.

Instant starts at the funded stage immediately with no evaluation phase. One Step reaches funded stage after the 10% target, 4 trading days, and One Step rules. Two Step moves Phase 1 → Phase 2 after Phase 1 criteria, then to funded stage after the 5% Phase 2 target, 4 trading days in that phase, and Two Step rules. Every funded-stage account is simulated. Progression does not guarantee rewards.

Choose Instant if you want funded-stage rules immediately with tighter risk (5% trailing DD / 3% daily) and no evaluation profit target. Choose One Step for a single 10% evaluation with 8% static / 4% limits. Choose Two Step for a two-phase path (8% then 5%) with 10% static / 5% limits — often the most common journey. Match risk tolerance to plan limits; Academy lessons help, but Rules and Pricing are decisive. Not financial advice.

Rules and risk

Loss limits are plan-specific. Instant: 5% max overall drawdown (trailing) and 3% daily loss. One Step: 8% max overall drawdown (static) and 4% daily loss. Two Step: 10% max overall drawdown (static) and 5% daily loss. Daily loss is equity-based and includes open P&L; the daily window resets at midnight UTC. Consistency rule: None on all plans. Do not assume a single universal percentage across plans. Details and examples: Trading Rules.

No. Instant uses 5% trailing max drawdown and 3% daily loss; One Step uses 8% static and 4%; Two Step uses 10% static and 5%. The same plan percentages apply across Indian Markets account sizes. Daily loss is equity-based and includes open profit or loss. Consistency rule: None on all plans. Always read the plan column on Rules before you trade.

Max overall drawdown follows the plan’s published type: trailing on Instant (5%) and static on One Step (8%) and Two Step (10%). Daily loss is an equity-based limit for the UTC day, including open P&L (Instant 3%, One Step 4%, Two Step 5%), resetting at midnight UTC. Breaching either typically fails the account. See Rules and Academy explainers for worked education — not personalized advice.

Max overall drawdown is trailing on Instant (5%) and static on One Step (8%) and Two Step (10%). Daily loss limits are equity-based and include open profit or loss — Instant 3%, One Step 4%, Two Step 5% — with a midnight UTC reset. Do not confuse drawdown type with the daily equity rule. Open positions can push you through the daily limit even before you close the trade. Trading Rules control the definitions.

Every plan, including Instant, expires after 30 consecutive days without opening a trade. Closing-only activity does not reset inactivity the way opening a trade does for trading-day counts — open at least one trade within the window to keep the account active. Inactivity expiry is separate from loss-limit failure. See trading-day definitions and Trading Rules for related timing rules.

Prohibited activities include copy trading, trade copiers, latency arbitrage, hedging the same instrument, third-party account management, and news trading. Breaches can fail the account and may lead to a permanent ban depending on the activity. The complete list and consequences are published on Trading Rules. Educational Academy content does not authorize prohibited tactics. When unsure, ask Contact before you trade.

No — not in any phase, including funded-stage accounts. You cannot open or close trades from 2 minutes before through 5 minutes after scheduled high-impact news events. The restriction applies to Instant, One Step, and Two Step alike. Treat the news window as a hard rule, not a guideline. See Trading Rules for the full prohibited-activities list and breach outcomes.

Weekend holding depends on the instrument and current platform conditions shown in your trading dashboard and Trading Rules. Policy may vary by symbol in the simulated Indian Markets environment. Do not assume every index contract can be held across the weekend. Confirm the active symbol's conditions in-app before leaving positions open into the weekly close.

Yes, if the EA runs your own strategy and does not copy signals or trades from others. Copy-trading EAs and third-party account management are prohibited. Latency-arbitrage style automation is also prohibited. You remain responsible for all rule compliance — automation does not waive drawdown, daily loss, news-window, or inactivity rules. Read Trading Rules before enabling any EA.

Hedging the same instrument is a published prohibited activity. Copy trading, trade copiers, latency arbitrage, and third-party account management are also prohibited. Running your own EA is allowed only if it does not copy others' signals or trades. If you are unsure whether a tactic counts as hedging or copy trading, read Trading Rules and Contact support before you risk an account failure or ban.

Loss-limit breaches typically fail the account. Prohibited-activity breaches typically fail the account and may result in a permanent ban. Inactivity of 30 consecutive days without opening a trade expires the account. Passing or failing is determined by published Rules, not support discretion. Review Rules and your dashboard status after any breach warning. Resets, when offered, do not erase bans.

Position size must respect your plan's max overall drawdown and daily loss limit — Instant 5%/3%, One Step 8%/4%, Two Step 10%/5%. Lot size that would breach daily equity-based loss (including open P&L) can fail the account even if the idea is correct. Academy and Blog cover position-sizing for evaluation accounts; they are educational only, not personalized advice. Use Rules as the binding constraint.

Pricing and payments

Challenge fees vary by plan type (Instant, One Step, Two Step) and simulated account size for Indian Markets. Current Founding Trader launch rates appear on the Pricing page, with original list prices shown for reference where applicable. Fees are service fees for simulated evaluation access — not deposits. Confirm the final price in checkout before paying; all sales are final.

No. The challenge fee is a service fee for access to a simulated trading evaluation. It is not a deposit of trading capital, not an investment, and does not earn returns. Paying a fee does not create a brokerage relationship and does not guarantee rewards. See Pricing, Terms of Service, and Risk Disclosure for the governing language.

A FundedSmart challenge fee is a service fee paid for access to a simulated trading evaluation. It is not a deposit of capital for live trading, not an investment, and not client money held for brokerage. Paying the fee buys evaluation access under published Rules; it does not entitle you to guaranteed rewards or live market fills. See Pricing and Terms of Service.

A reset restarts an eligible failed stage so you can attempt that stage again under current plan rules. Reset availability and the fee depend on the plan and are shown at checkout or in your dashboard. A reset is another service fee. It does not erase policy violations, prohibited-activity bans, or inactivity expiries where those outcomes already apply. Confirm eligibility in-app.

After activation, challenge fees are generally non-refundable — including if you do not trade, fail an evaluation, breach account rules, or let an account expire for inactivity. Limited carve-outs (for example duplicate payment, or payment captured but access not provisioned within the activation SLA) are described in the Refund & Cancellation Policy. Review plan details, loss limits, and Trading Rules before purchasing. See also Pricing and the Terms of Service.

For Indian Markets (INR), choose a plan on Pricing, then Start Challenge to register at app.fundedsmart.com. Checkout and payment happen in the FundedSmart app after registration — methods shown in-app. Challenge fees remain service fees. If a payment does not activate access, contact support with your registration details and payment reference.

Indian Markets fees are priced in INR. UPI may be available as a payment method where offered inside the FundedSmart app checkout after you register via Start Challenge — the marketing site does not host UPI QR checkout or publish a full live methods catalogue. Challenge fees remain service fees, not deposits. If UPI payment succeeds but access is not activated, email support@fundedsmart.com with registration and payment references.

The Founding Trader Offer provides launch promotional pricing during the current founding window. Discounted prices are shown on Pricing with original list price for reference. The offer applies to the first challenge per new trader only. After activation, fees remain generally non-refundable under the Refund Policy. Confirm whether the founding window still applies on the live Pricing page before you pay.

Rewards and payouts

No. Rewards are discretionary and available only to qualifying funded-stage traders under the Rewards Policy. Passing an evaluation, reaching the funded stage, or showing simulated profits does not guarantee a reward. Illustrative maximum shares and minimums on marketing pages are not promises. Eligibility and amounts are reviewed under policy after KYC and a valid request.

Illustrative maximum shares of eligible simulated profit (Indian Markets): Instant up to 70%, One Step up to 80%, Two Step up to 90%. Minimum payout ₹999. You may request after 4 consecutive profitable trading days in funded stage. After a valid request and KYC completion, we aim to process eligible discretionary rewards promptly; timing may vary by review, geography, and provider. Figures are not guaranteed; policy controls final terms. See Rewards and the Rewards Policy.

Funded stage is the simulated account phase after you pass the evaluation path — or the starting phase on Instant. It is still a simulated environment, not a live brokerage account and not a guarantee of rewards. Funded-stage traders who meet policy conditions may request discretionary rewards after 4 consecutive profitable trading days, subject to KYC and Rewards Policy review. Progression does not equal payout.

KYC means Know Your Customer — identity verification required before reward payouts. FundedSmart may ask for government ID and supporting documents to confirm you are eligible to receive a discretionary reward. Incomplete or unverifiable KYC can delay or block payout processing even after profitable simulated performance. KYC does not convert your account into a live brokerage relationship. See Rewards Policy.

Before discretionary reward payouts, FundedSmart requires Know Your Customer verification. Expect government ID and supporting documents as requested in the payout flow. Exact document lists can vary by review needs and are collected for reward eligibility — not to open a live brokerage account. Incomplete KYC can delay the published processing window that starts after both a valid request and KYC completion. See Rewards Policy.

You are responsible for understanding and meeting tax reporting obligations in your jurisdiction if you receive a reward. FundedSmart does not provide tax, legal, or financial advice. Simulated evaluation profits are not investment returns. For personal tax treatment questions, consult a qualified professional in your jurisdiction rather than relying on marketing pages or support chat.

Platform and markets

After purchase, log in at app.fundedsmart.com. Platform details, account status, and the exact tradable symbol list for your simulated evaluation appear in your trading dashboard. Marketing pages describe the Indian Markets focus; the dashboard is authoritative for live symbol availability. FundedSmart is not a broker and does not provide live exchange access through this service.

Indian Markets evaluations focus on major Indian index products, including NIFTY, BANKNIFTY, FINNIFTY, and Sensex, plus related Indian F&O symbols offered in the simulated environment. See Indian Markets for the overview. The exact symbol list on your account is what appears in the trading dashboard and can vary by plan or platform update. Confirm via Contact if a specific contract matters before purchase.

FundedSmart's public product focus is simulated Indian Markets index F&O. Exact session and trading-hour conditions for each symbol are shown in the trading dashboard and must be followed together with evaluation Rules (including news windows and daily loss resets at midnight UTC). Marketing pages do not replace dashboard session times. If hours for a contract are unclear, confirm via Contact before purchase.

Use the Contact page or the in-app support channel. Email support@fundedsmart.com for account, pricing, payment confirmation, and activation follow-up. For rule interpretation, cite Trading Rules and your account dashboard rather than informal screenshots alone. Support cannot override rules, guarantee rewards, or provide financial advice. Check FAQ and Rules first for faster resolution.

Education and community

FundedSmart Academy is free educational content at /academy covering challenge preparation, risk management, psychology, and platform guides. Academy material is educational only — not financial advice, coaching, or trade signals. Use lessons to understand published Rules before you buy, then choose Instant, One Step, or Two Step on Pricing. Completing Academy content does not guarantee evaluation success or rewards.

No. FundedSmart does not provide trade signals, copy trading, or guaranteed strategies. Academy and Blog content is educational only and is not financial advice. Influencer or affiliate promotions must use approved materials and mandatory Risk Disclosure references. Income screenshots and guaranteed-pass claims are prohibited. Your evaluation outcome depends on following published plan rules in the simulated environment.

Comparisons

FundedSmart is a simulated trading evaluation platform — not a broker and not an investment advisor. It uses a prop-evaluation-style model where traders prove discipline on simulated accounts under published rules. Challenge fees are service fees, not capital deposits. Global prop firm labels often imply FX/CFD live-style funding narratives that do not match FundedSmart's Indian Markets simulated offering.

A typical broker demo mimics live market access for practice with a broker. FundedSmart sells access to structured simulated evaluations (Instant, One Step, Two Step) with published profit targets, plan-specific loss limits, prohibited activities, and optional discretionary rewards after funded stage. It is not providing live brokerage, investment advice, or deposit-based trading capital. Compare Rules and Risk Disclosure before treating it like a demo.

Not as a market match. FundedSmart's public offering is simulated Indian Markets index F&O in INR (NIFTY, BANKNIFTY, FINNIFTY, Sensex and related symbols). Brands such as FTMO, FundedNext, FundingPips, and The5ers are widely known for global forex/CFD-style challenge models. Use those comparisons for challenge-structure context only — not as a substitute for Indian Markets product fit. Verify each provider's current terms directly. See Compare.

Compare category and geography first: FundedSmart is an India-first simulated trading evaluation for index F&O in INR, not a licensed broker and not a capital deposit product. Check whether peers publish plan-specific loss limits, fee-as-service framing, and clear simulation disclosures. Do not rely on unverified ratings or peer income claims. Use Compare, Rules, and each provider's live terms — FundedSmart does not invent competitor scores.

Affiliates and partners

Yes. See the Affiliates page for program overview and how to apply. Partnership and affiliate enquiries can also go to support@fundedsmart.com with your audience profile, region, and preferred promotion channels. Affiliates must follow approved materials and Risk Disclosure requirements. Guaranteed-income or guaranteed-pass marketing is not allowed. Program terms may update — confirm details when you apply.

Only with approved materials and mandatory Risk Disclosure references. Income screenshots, guaranteed-pass claims, and misleading funding language are prohibited. FundedSmart provides simulated trading evaluations — not live brokerage or guaranteed rewards. Influencers should direct audiences to Pricing, Rules, and Risk Disclosure rather than unverifiable payout claims. Contact support for partnership approval before publishing paid promotions.

Legal and compliance

Read Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Risk Disclosure, and Rewards Policy under /legal. These documents govern challenge purchases, simulated evaluations, data use, risk, and discretionary rewards. Marketing FAQs summarize key points but do not replace the policies. Document versions on the live site should be checked for the current revision date before you rely on any clause.

No. FundedSmart is not a licensed broker. It provides simulated trading evaluations operated by Upward Trading FZCO, not brokerage, exchange access, or investment advisory services. Challenge fees are service fees, not client deposits for live trading. Do not treat evaluation balances as real exchange positions. See About, FAQ, and Risk Disclosure for the not-broker framing.

Availability is subject to local law, sanctions restrictions, and the current Terms of Service. You are responsible for confirming that simulated trading evaluations are permitted where you live. Contact support before purchase if your jurisdiction is unclear. Passing geo checks on the website does not create legal advice or an exemption from local restrictions.
